ADULT LEARNER PROGRAM

PFLC offers a program tailored to the needs of adult students.  Students in the Adult Learner Program must be able to attend classes at PFLC once a week and be 25 years of age or older to qualify.  We understand those who may not fit the traditional college entry timeline may have established careers and families, therefore this cohort is tailored to the demands of an adult schedule.

The adult learner program consists of independent study and weekly on-campus leadership sessions. Leadership sessions are held on Thursday evenings at Plainview First Assembly.  Students in this programs may choose from 2 online educational options:

Berean School of the Bible (Non-Degree Seeking Students)

Berean School of the Bible courses are offered through Global University. The courses do not earn college credit, but do earn continuing education units, which meet the educational requirements for credentialing in the Assemblies of God. BSB offers ministry training designed to prepare you to fill a church leadership role and to help you fulfill the call of God on your life. BSB has pioneered distance education for A/G ministerial credentials since 1948 and has trained Assemblies of God ministers for over six decades.

The majority of the coursework for the BSB educational option will be completed by the student through self-study.  However, PFLC will offer study groups with a facilitator and a study guide for each course.  Although students will complete course work on their own, PFLC will provide academic accountability by setting course schedules and exam dates. Students must stay on schedule to continue in the program.

SAGU (Degree-seeking Students)

Degree-seeking adult learners will enroll to earn a 2-year accredited degree from Southwestern Assemblies of God University at a significantly discounted rate through our extension site. After completion of the 2-year program, students have the option to complete their 4-year degree with SAGU or transfer their credits to another University.

Students in the degree-seeking adult learner program will be responsible to complete all coursework on their own time.  PFLC will provide academic accountability throughout the semester.
